DVD Hi All! What a fantastic weekend!! It was so great to see everyone. Those that attended should have received an invitation by email to Dropbox. There, you can add your photos to complete the DVD. Paul needs them put in the box by July 3, 2014. If you have not received the email, please email me at lizpiprif@cox.net thanks again everyone for making it an unforgettable weekend!!!!
Liz Final Reunion Details Well Bucs, the time is finally here, and your committee is ready to share a wonderful weekend with everyone. I first wanted to take a moment to let you know that 25 of your classmates offered to be part of the committee. Yes, 25! Thank you each and every one for the part you played over the last 10 months to get where we are today. Without you, this would not be possible.
Amy Williams Stokes has been making this a throwback to 1984 week instead of tbt. Please enjoy the pictures she has uploaded to Facebook on our class page at Broadmoor High Class of 1984. This website is one that will remain in use as long as FB exists. Also, many pictures have been uploaded on our Reunion website under the "messages" and "photos" tabs. Enjoy!!!!
Take note that the online registration will end tonight at Midnight EST. Please visit www.broadmoorhighclassof1984.classquest.com to register. After today, registration will be available at the Reunion registration table with check or cash only.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 20, 2014, we will meet at Huey's on Third Street between Florida and Laurel Street at 7 PM. Dress is casual and it is Happy Hour from 7PM - 10 PM, cash bar. We will have a reserved area, so please direct yourself to the table in the area for your name tag. I know we all will recognize one another because we look exactly the same as we did in 1984, but please appease us this one weekend!
Saturday, June 21, 2014, Jay Podorsky, will begin grilling at Broadmoor High near the softball field at 7AM. Any grill masters are welcome to join him or assist on the grill through the day. Rene' Mire will also be grilling from his home, and transporting the BBQ to the field at 11AM for those that arrive hungry. At 11 AM, name tags will be on the table, teams will be picked, and the bragging rights will begin. If you are playing, please remember to bring a glove. If not, bleachers are nearby or bring a chair or blanket. Finally, many have asked if the game is a family friendly function, and the answer is a resounding yes. If your children would care to join you, please bring them ready to batter up!
The Reunion night will begin at 7 PM until Midnight at the Shaw Center, 4th Floor Terrace Room, 100 Lafayette Street. When you enter the Center, proceed to the elevators, and to the 4th floor. Registration will be as you exit. After registering, you may walk outside on the terrace where Jazz, champagne, and small bites will be passed around until 8PM, while the sunset awaits you. We would like to gather the class between that hour for a group 30th Reunion sunset photo. Of special note is a very important event that day and night. Saturday, Hollywood will be filming an action film. This will force the closures of Third Street between Florida Street and North Boulevard and 4th Street and Lafayette Street. Essentially, a 4 block circle. The crew will be occupying many of the surrounding parking areas, so the Shaw Center suggests parking on North Boulevard or behind the Hilton, and we suggest arriving a few minutes early to navigate the area. The exciting part is great entertainment complements of the movie industry. We are being told it will be a fun attraction that will only add to our special evening! At 8 PM, The Chase Tyler Band will begin playing and the buffet will open! Inside, you will also find a 25 minute streaming video to watch at your leisure of BHS memories created by Paul Lastrapes. Again, please hashtag those pictures so Paul can finish the DVD after the weekend events. A card to order your DVD will be available only Saturday night at the registration table. Dress is cocktail.

1984 Reunion Committee Photos for slideshow All, I am making a slideshow for whenever Liz decides to show it. I have swiped numerous pictures of my "friends'" Facebook pages, but that means only about 25 BHS 1984-types will be pictured.
So, by next Monday, please send me whatever pics you want included. This would preferably be old childhood/high school pics, but feel free to send post high school/family pics too. I need them no later than Tuesday 17th to give me a few days before flying in on Friday morning.

Paul Lastrapes Reunion Newsletter Hey Bucs! The Reunion is fast approaching! A fact you may not know about our Saturday night "Sunset on the River Terrace" is that you can select your favorite adult beverages from the open bar! For the first hour, for your comfort and pleasure, we will be offering sparkling wine to toast the sunset and passed trays of coconut shrimp with pepper jelly sauce and fried alligator bites with sriracha sauce set to the smooth rhythm of Jazz! It will truly be a lovely event not to be missed!
Afterwards, look forward to kicking up your heels to The Chase Tyler Band, and enjoying a full buffet. Dance the night away, and enjoy time with your classmates in a Moroccan style VIP rooftop party atmosphere until Midnight!
If you haven't joined the party, you still may register and pay today to secure your place overlooking the River! Go to Broadmoorhighclassof1984.classquest.com to make sure you are part of this memorable evening.
Included with your ticket is a BBQ lunch at Broadmoor High cooked by the best griller around, while playing or watching to see which team leaves with bragging rights for "Softball Class of 1984 Thirty Years Later Game."
In addition, Saturday night Paul Lastrapes is providing us a beautifully moving CD of photographs set to music from our school days, as well as, recent photographs of your classmates and their families. The CD slideshow will be set to music and is truly special. Paul has five minutes of slideshow at the moment but he needs your help! Please send any and all "school days" photos to Paul at paullastrapes@gmail.com by Sunday, June 15, 2014, for inclusion in the CD! Don't miss out on having your memories included.
After the Reunion, he will gather photos from it and add them to the CD. For ease of finding them, add them to social media and hashtag #bhs1984. The CD will be available to all that attend the event.

Paul Newsletter II, The Menu and CD Good evening Bucs!
As promised tonight's missive is about the delectable menu for Saturday night. The evening's offerings will include:
Hors D'oeuvres from 7 PM - 8 PM:
- Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Chile Sauce
- Fried Alligator with Sriracha Sauce
Buffet from 8 PM - 10:30 PM:
- Shrimp Remoulade Salad
- Port and Mission Fig Pate
- Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Chips
- Vegetable Sherry Cream Pasta
- Roasted Pepper Beef Tenderloin with Horseradish Sauce and Rolls
- Roasted Pepper Pork Tenderloin
- Seafood Paella
As you can see from the menu, it will be a night of gourmet delights! The professionally prepared foods will delight you, in and fuel you through the evening as we dance the night away while making lifetime memories.
Paul has graciously offered to extend the deadline to submit photos to him until Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Please email them to him at paullastrapes@gmail.com so you will be included on the CD to be played Saturday night, and then made available to you as a keepsake.
Lastly, there are rumors of a margarita machine and a blockbuster movie. Stay tuned for details on these and more exciting news in our next newsletter. For now, we are a week away, and counting down!

Liz Last call for pics  Gang, Liz wanted to remind those coming to the picnic Saturday to bring lawn chairs/blankets/whatever. Bring a baseball glove if you plan to play.
Lastly, the DVD is almost done. It's 25 minutes long and counting. I think you'll like it. I can still use pics, but I need them by Wednesday afternoon at the latest as I'll finish it up Wednesday night.
